Telegram for business: personal account or bot — which to choose
Pulse connects to both a personal Telegram account (via Telegram Premium) and a regular bot — AI replies on your behalf either way, the only difference is what the client sees.
Personal account vs bot — what's the difference
A Telegram bot is a separate account with its own name and icon — clients always clearly see they're messaging a bot. A personal account is your regular Telegram profile: the AI replies as you, and to the client it looks like a natural continuation of a personal conversation with your company. Pulse supports both.
What connecting a personal account requires
Telegram Premium
Connecting a personal account via the Telegram Business API requires an active Telegram Premium subscription on that account.
A few minutes to set up
Authorizing the account in the Pulse dashboard and configuring what the AI should say takes only a few minutes.
Existing contacts stay untouched
You can exclude existing personal conversations from AI management — the bot only replies to new inquiries.
Works without Premium too
If Premium isn't needed or convenient, you can connect a regular Telegram bot instead — Pulse's functionality doesn't change.
How conversation history is stored
Every conversation — from the AI and from live reps — is saved in the lead card in your Pulse dashboard. That means client conversation history stays accessible to the company even if the rep who originally handled it leaves or changes roles.
